AceShowbiz - Eddie Redmayne, Alicia Vikander, Amber Heard as well as other cast and crew members of "The Danish Girl" gathered at the Westwood Village Theatre in Westwood, California as they attended the movie's premiere on Saturday, November 21. Redmayne came to the event alongside wife Hannah Bagshawe.
The English actor looked dapper in a plaid suit over a white shirt while wearing a pair of black Oxford shoes. On the red carpet, he posed for photographer alongside his wife who looked adorable donning a sleeveless rose dress.
During red carpet interview, Redmayne revealed that he had a quite long preparation for his role as a gender reassignment surgery recipient. He was required to study the topic by talking directly to transgender women.
Another cast member who was supported by her spouse at the event was Heard. She came alongside Johnny Depp who rocked a black suit to match her outfit. Heard opted for a preppy look wearing a black floral suit over a white shirt and a black tie. The 29-year-old actress was seen holding hand with his husband as the two posed for photographers.
Also attending the event was director Tom Hooper, Paula Patton and Chaz Bono, who came along with a mysterious pretty blonde woman.
"The Danish Girl" follows a remarkable love story inspired by the lives of artists Lili Elbe (Redmayne) and Gerda Wegener (Vikander). Lili and Gerda's marriage and work evolve as they navigate Lili's groundbreaking journey as a transgender pioneer. The drama will be released in limited theathers across the nation on November 27.
