Tyra Banks is exiting her own daytime talk show "FABLife". The 41-year-old model says in a statement to THR the decision is "very difficult" for her, but "necessary," as she wants to focus on her cosmetic line.
"I will be devoting more time to my new, growing cosmetics company, TYRA Beauty, which is expanding faster than anticipated, as well as overseeing my company's other entertainment ventures," she says, "I will, however, continue to support the growth and success of 'FABLife' and greatly admire my fellow co-hosts and the talented production team behind the show."
There are no plans to replace Tyra on the Disney/ABC show. She will remain as executive producer and will continue to appear on the show a few times a week through December. After that, she will still make occasional appearances on the show throughout the season.
"FABLife" features hosting panel that includes Chrissy Teigen, fashion editor Joe Zee, interior designer Lauren Makk and YouTube star Leah Ashley.
The news comes a month after Tyra announced "America's Next Top Model" would end its run after cycle 22. "TYRA MAIL! Thinking #ANTM22 should be our last cycle," she posted on Twitter at the time, "I truly believe it's time. May your pics be forever fierce. Keep on Smizing! [love]Tyra."
The season finale of "America's Next Top Model" cycle 22 will air on December 4, the same day when Tyra turns 42.
