AceShowbiz - Verizon has released a video advertising which stars some of the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" characters. Becoming the spotlight of the video are Chewbacca and ball droid BB-8.

The commercial from the cell phone company begins with a tagline "A better network as explained in galaxy far, far away..." and continues showing a group of Stormtroopers walking through the aisle of a First Order base.

The ad then shows Chewbacca and BB-8 hiding from the Stormtroopers. The ad associates the company's competitors with the First Order or the Dark Side while explaining that Verizon can provide a "better network" for its customers.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is set 30 years after the events of "Return of the Jedi", and features a new generation of swashbuckling heroes and shadowy villains, as well as the return of fan-favorite smugglers, princesses, and Jedi. Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher are back to reprise their respective roles. The trio is joined by the likes of Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver in the cast. Directed by J.J. Abrams, the sci-fi movie is scheduled to open in U.S. theaters on December 18.
