The intimate one-off gig was held in association with Apple Music. Before starting their set, the four-piece asked the audience made up of very lucky fans from around the world to join them in a one-minute silence.

"We would like to send our thoughts and condolences to those who have been affected by the heartbreaking tragedy in Paris this weekend," read one tweet they sent out right after the incidents, which occured on the same day they released their fifth studio album, "Made in the A.M.".

The boys also took to their respective Twitter account to express concern over the attacks. "Thoughts and prayers for those people involved in the situation that has occurred in Paris this evening .. Very sad," wrote Niall Horan. "The world just lost peace its a scary place and it's hard to take I really hope everybody is ok pray for France," Liam Payne added.
