"My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2" gets the first trailer. It sees the return of Nia Vardalos and John Corbett as the lovable couple, Toula and Ian, while introducing a new generation of the close-knit Portokalos clan.
Elena Kampouris plays their teen daughter named Paris. Between juggling parenthood and trying to rekindle the sparks between them, Toula and Ian have their hands full with helping prepare another Greek wedding.
Besides reprising her role as the female lead, Vardalos wrote this sequel to the 2002 romcom and it took her four years to write the story. "Now that I'm experiencing motherhood I feel ready to write this next chapter," she once explained.
Directed by "Nanny McPhee" helmer Kirk Jones and co-produced by Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, the movie is scheduled to hit theaters across the United States on March 25, 2016. It revolves around "the reveal of a family secret and a new wedding, described as bigger and fatter, that brings the Greek clan together again."
