"Been working on this song for months now and am so excited about it !" wrote Mendes. "It's a secret song from Handwritten Revisited that I co-wrote with @camilacabello97 !" Cabello said in her own Twitter post, "We wrote this together backstage at one of Taylor's 1989 shows out of a random jam session."
Mendes and Cabello announced the duet amid rumors that they're dating. The pair, who started hanging out together while on tour with Austin Mahone and Fifth Harmony, were romantically linked last summer after they were frequently spotted together.
In September, a source confirmed to E! News that Mendes and Cabello were totally dating. "[They] really like each other and laugh nonstop when they're together," said the source.
