Molly Sims Would Starve Herself During Modeling Days

The former Victoria's Secret model revealed her body struggle that prompted her to visit a plastic surgeon's office.

Molly Sims opened up about her days as a struggling model. The actress admitted to have taken drastic measures like starving herself just to keep up with the fashion world.

"Even just to get ready for Sports Illustrated ...I'd walk 14 miles a day," she told host Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani on Huffington Post Live. "It was very difficult to stay the weight you were supposed to stay, for me. I'm genetically blessed in certain ways, but in terms of having the weight be a certain size zero, it was very hard. I didn't eat sometimes for a couple of days."

She even visited a plastic surgeon when she was only 23. "I was like, 'Is there any way you could make my calves smaller?' [They] sent me home and said get out, but that's obsessiveness that we can get into," she said.

Sims also recalled her days as Victoria's Secret model over a decade ago. "You never think you look good," the 42-year-old said, "but then you see that picture five years later and you're like, 'Damn, girl! You look good." She also remembered thinking she used to look "so heavy."

But now that she has left behind the catwalk career, she's more able to accept her size and focus herself on other things. "Other things have become more important," she said. "What I look like - it doesn't have as much weight. Now that I have a husband and a family and have kids, I'm not consumed with trying to get into the size two. Who gives a shit if I'm in a size six?"
