Krysten Ritter's superheroine starts a new life but soon her dark past comes back to haunt her.

"Marvel's Jessica Jones" gets the first full trailer ahead of the November 20 release on Netflix. It sees a glimpse at Krysten Ritter as the titular heroine, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, and the infamous Purple Man played by David Tennant.
The trailer opens with Jessica revealing her true identity to Luke and recounting her dark past after he witnessed her superpowers and confronted her about it. A cool display of her powers is shown before it turns dark as the villain's sinister force is unveiled.
The series follows Jessica who battles demons from within and without after her short-lived stint as a Super Hero ended in tragedy. She is now rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.
Luke Cake will get his own series on Netflix later before Iron Fist is set to follow. Together with Charlie Cox's Daredevil, those three heroes are expected to be brought together in one ensemble piece called "The Defenders".
