The 'Trophy Wife' actress reveals she fell ill while in the Big Apple promoting her latest movie 'The Final Girls'.

Malin Akerman fell ill during New York Comic-Con. The actress revealed on Instagram that she battled food poisoning during the fan-centric convention. "Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Doing NY comic con with food poisoning sucks!" she wrote.
Akerman was in the Big Apple to hype up her newest film "The Final Girls". Supported by Adam DeVine and Nina Dobrev, the horror comedy hits U.S. limited theaters and gets VOD release on October 9 after playing at film festivals earlier this year.
Her visit to Comic-Con is followed by an appearance on "Today" show as part of the press tour. "Gonna hang w the cool kids on @todayshow this morning 9:33 est, talking all about #finalgirls," she posted a picture of herself backstage on the NBC morning show.
