Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger proved how exes can still be friends, and co-writers in their case. The "Complicated" singer posted a photo of her working in studio with the ex-husband.
Lavigne's first Instagram photo seemed ordinary, showing her wearing a cowboy hat and strumming her guitar. But the caption absorbed all the attention. "YeeHaw! Writing with Chad today," she wrote. A short while later she posted another photo, this time showing Kroeger smiling and picking his guitar. "Back where it all started ..." Lavigne wrote.
Lavigne and Kroeger started off as collaborators for her fifth self-titled studio album. Their romance blossomed and they got engaged after only one month of dating. The Canadians got married on the Mediterranean Sea in the South of France on July 1, 2013. In September this year, they announced a separation.
She spread news of the split by posting their wedding photo. "It is with heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today," she wrote. "Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we've created many unforgettable moments. We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support."
