Teri Hatcher lost her expensive racing bike at a local repair shop. The 50-year-old actress put the $1,000 bike for a repair at a Los Angeles shop two weeks ago when the theft occurred.
According to TMZ, one of the shop's employees parked the bike outside the shop for a few minutes and returned to find out that it had gone. Los Angeles Police Department was investigating the theft and reviewed surveillance cameras to look for evidence of crime.
Hatcher will be compensated for her loss. The repair shop's owner promises to purchase a new bike for the "Desperate Housewives" star so that she can compete in triathlons.
Hatcher keeps her body fit by competing in triathlons, kicking off the hobby in 2009. "I want to learn to play a couple of songs on the guitar. I want to learn a few of those fancy dances from one of those Dancing with the Stars teachers. And I want to run a triathlon," she told People.
The harsh regime put her in a better shape than before. "I'm just out to do it and I did it," she said. "I did surprise myself that I'm in better shape than I thought I was."
