Demi Lovato seems pretty "Confident" that her new single will be her next smash. Following the success of "Cool for the Summer" off her "Confident" album, the former Disney princess announced on Tuesday, September 15 that she'd follow it up with the upcoming set's title track.
"#Confident is officially my next single!!!" she excitedly tweeted. The announcement came along with the single's official cover art, which sees the 23-year-old songbird looking fierce as she poses in a black leather crop top teamed with a skirt of the same color.

There's still no word on when the single will arrive. Co-written by Lovato with Savan Kotecha, Ilya Salmanzadeh and Max Martin, the song was originally planned to lead her new album, which is coming out on October 16. She recently explained the change in a chat with Billboard.
"You can't really release ['Cool for the Summer'] in October, so we were like, 'Okay, you know what? I think we have a change of plans, and we'll go with 'Cool for the Summer',' " she said. "It was really spontaneous but it worked, and I'm super excited with the way that things have played out so far."
