A sneak peek at Joseph Gordon-Levitt's visit to "The Mindy Project" has arrived via a trailer for the upcoming fourth season. It shows the actor working his charm on Mindy Kaling's character and leaving her speechless.
In the next season, Mindy is expecting a baby with Danny (Chris Messina). While her baby daddy finally meets her parents, she finds herself married to Gordon-Levitt's suave character in a "Sliding Doors"-like dream universe.
"We explore what it would be like if she'd never fallen in love with Danny," Kaling explained. "He plays a reality TV producer who's best friends with Andy Cohen. He's the man of Mindy's dreams, his apartment's in Gramercy Park ... It was very fun to use him as a character who seems ideal, but then goes in a very surprising direction."
The single-camera comedy show is relocating to Hulu after getting canceled by FOX. It will premiere the new 26 episodes starting September 15 on the streaming service. The actress said, "I am thrilled 'The Mindy Project' has found a new home on Hulu, where so many of our fans are already watching the show. It's such an exciting place to be."
