The 'Wildest Dreams' songstress has over 45.5 million followers to surpass the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star's 45.5 million and Beyonce's 45 million.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift has nabbed the top spot as the most followed person on Instagram with more than 45.5 million followers. This may be a shock to previous most followed person Kim Kardashian who celebrated her own milestone of reaching 45 million followers last week.
Taylor was previously ranked the third most followed, with the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star and Beyonce Knowles preceding her. The "Shake It Off" hitmaker now has more followers than Kim's 45.5 million and Beyonce's 45 million.
On Tuesday, September 8, Taylor also topped Vanity Fair's "Powers That Be" list which contains "visionary executives and entertainers who have consolidated their spheres of influence while continuing to affect the culture in new ways." Calvin Harris' girlfriend beat out power players like Disney's chief Bob Iger and Hillary Clinton.
Kim and her husband Kanye West also made it to the list, landing at No. 12 while Beyonce and Jay-Z share No. 21.
"Swift isn't merely the world's favorite pop star, putting up sales numbers that are nearly unfathomable in the post-Napster age," the magazine explained, "She is also using her platform to make giant companies conform to her will. After pulling her catalogue off Spotify last year, Swift wrote an open letter to Apple asking it to pay artists during the free-trial period of its new music service. She posted the note on Tumblr on a Sunday and the company complied within hours."
