With very little time left before the end of "Bachelor in Paradise" season 2, Carly and Kirk's shocking split in the first part of the finale really affected the remaining ladies. Jade, in particular, began to worry about her relationship with Tanner. Sensing this, Tanner said, "She could either feel sad for Carly but stay excited for me - or she could let this breakup get inside her head a little bit."

Meanwhile, things went well with Nick and Samantha. Noting that they had started chatting at least "three months" before meeting on the show, they were "excited about moving forward" together. They had an overnight date.

Cassandra, who just met Justin in the previous episode, thought it would be "inappropriate" to enter the fantasy suite. "I think it would be good to just take it slow," she reasoned. The two still liked each other very much, though so.

Tenley always said Joshua was a great guy, but she was concerned about whether their relationship would work after "Paradise". "Joshua and I in 'Paradise' are really, really amazing and I just don't know what's to come outside of 'Paradise'," she told the camera. Joshua convinced her, "I'm freaked out too, but I also know that I like what's happening so much that I don't want it to end." The two ended up spending a night in the fantasy suite.

Tanner tried to help ease Jade's worries by telling her about his feelings. "Over the last week things have gotten even more real for me. And I love you, Jade, 100 percent. It's crazy to think about because my mind is saying, 'What the hell are you doing, Tanner? You haven't known this person that long.' But my heart is telling me that the feelings are real and I do love you," he said. She replied, "It's really hard to say the words, but I love you too, Tanner."

At the final rose ceremony, Justin gave his rose to Cassandra and she accepted it despite their "new" relationship. Samantha also accepted a rose from Nick. On "After Paradise", it was revealed that Samantha and Nick are still together and they have been going on vacations together.

Joshua offered his rose to Tenley, but she thought that a long-distance relationship wouldn't work and having one of them moving to another city wouldn't be fair. "You definitely restored hope for me to be able to have a great love and to find a man who is kind and caring and attentive and affectionate," she said through tears. They still kissed each other good bye.

Later it was time for Tanner and Jade. The two professed their love for each other. "I can't give you this rose today," Tanner said, as he had something bigger for her. "...but I can give you this ring," he added while presenting her with a Neil Lane ring. "Will you make me the happiest man on Earth and marry me?" he proposed to her and she said yes.
