"Bachelor in Paradise" made a significant cut of contestants as it is nearing its season 2 finale. At the end of the night, only eight contestants who were in pairs are staying on the show while the rest went home.

The Sunday, September 6 episode began with Ashley I. and Jared heading to the fantasy suite. Ashley I. was ready to lose her virginity but it didn't happen. The next night, Jared made it clear that he just didn't feel it for her. Ashley I. cried but thanked him for "making me realize that the total package exists." Jared left that night.

Juelia was another casualty that night, with Mikey telling Juelia that he indeed came back for her, but he felt that they were more friends than a romantic couple. He noted that she's "a special person," but "there's something off" between them. Juelia was so upset and decided to pack her bag.

Jaclyn, meanwhile, asked Justin out only to get disappointed. He initially agreed to go with her, but changed his mind when Cassandra from Juan Pablo Galavis' season of "The Bachelor" arrived. Cassandra asked Justin out and he said "yes," leaving Jaclyn upset.

Justin seemed to make a good decision though, since he and Jaclyn quickly bonded over the fact that they were both single parents. They went horseback riding during their date and made out.

Since Jaclyn wasn't going to use her date card, Nick asked her if he could use it to ask Samantha out. Jaclyn used this chance to humiliate Nick, telling him to roll around in the sand pretending it was a Victoria's Secret shoot. Nick did it and Jaclyn gave him her date card.

Nick asked Samantha out and they had a date at a luxurious resort called Vedanta. They kissed and Samantha made it sure that Nick would give his rose to her.

Prior to the cocktail party, Ashley I. announced that she was "leaving on my own." At the rose ceremony, Kirk gave his rose to Carly, Tanner picked Jade, Nick indeed gave his rose to Samantha, Joshua picked Tenley, and Justin gave his rose to Cassandra.

Dan, meanwhile, chose not to give his rose to anyone because he didn't find love. He wished "the best" for everyone and left. Mikey chose Mackenzie, but she said that there was nothing between them. With that, Dan, Mikey and Mackenzie were going home, and so were Amber, Ashley S., Chelsie and Jaclyn who didn't get a rose.

Just when Carly thought she was safe, Kirk dropped the bomb on her. He admitted that he's "not there" and he didn't see the relationship working. He said he had to go home. Carly felt she was "tricked." She ran to her friends who tried to console her. Kirk tried to talk about it again with Carly, but she told him, "I hate you." The two ended up leaving in separate cars.
