AceShowbiz - Thing gets critical for Travis, Liza and Chris on "Fear the Walking Dead". The three are holed up with Salazars in Daniel Salazar's barbershop, but they may be forced to leave the place because there's a fire next door. In a preview for the next episode, they are mulling over whether to stay in the place or to get out on the street where there's only madness.
Once they leave the barbershop, Travis, Liza, Chris and the Salazars drive around the town in a pickup truck. Outside a hospital, they witness mayhem as everyone is running away and police officers are seen threatening to shoot a patient who seems to have been infected by the virus.
"Fear the Walking Dead" will take a break next week and return in two weeks, Sunday, September 13 at 8 P.M. ET, with "The Dog". According to the synopsis, "after they escape a riot, Travis, Liza and Chris seek refuge with the Salazars; Madison defends her home."
Showrunner Dave Erickson tells The Hollywood Reporter how long Travis and Madison will be separated. "Not terribly long," he says. "You start with a couple in the pilot who love each other and after he's had one failed relationship and she lost her husband, this is the first real relationship either has had and they value it. The fact that he just moved in says a lot about their relationship. By the end of episode two, the audience wants these two to get back together and have their whole blended family together and I don't want to delay that reunion."
He adds, "It's definitely not a season-long arc or a half-season arc where these two are desperately trying to find each other; it'll be a bit shorter than that."
