Amy Purdy and Daniel Gale of "The Amazing Race" fame are finally married. The couple tied the knot Saturday, August 29 afternoon at Hidden Springs in Boise, Idaho after 14 years together.
"We felt it was just finally time to come together and make a commitment to each other," Purdy told People. They exchanged vows and Neil Lane rings in front of approximately 160 guests. Speaking of the wedding's theme, Gale said, "I am not an over-the-top kind of person. I just wanted it to feel outdoorsy and simple. It's all very bohemian."
Purdy and Gale announced their engagement in May this year after he proposed to her during a vacation in Puerto Rico. "Just said 'yes' to this amazing man!" Gale tweeted at that time.
Gale was also a contestant of "Dancing with the Stars", finishing at the second place in season 18. The snowboarder had both of her legs amputated after contracting meningitis at the age of 19. She has had commercial success including television appearances and a memoir book.
