Avril Lavigne has broken her silence on a recent Tumblr post which compared her meet and greet photos to Taylor Swift's. The "Girlfriend" hitmaker took to Twitter on Sunday night, August 23 to address the comparison which made her fans upset.
Avril tweeted, "Comparison is judging and judging a person does not define who they are it defines who you are. We all Love our fans." She then posted two photo collages from her own meet and greet along with caption, "So let's keep it all about the love and stay positive."

The "Shake It Off" hitmaker reportedly "liked" the post on the social media site.
Avril's fans then blasted Taylor for the comparison. One fan commented, "Taylor Swift is disgusting." A second fan wrote, "[Taylor] could be a person good as her songs (when she isn't trying to put other singer down). Just saying... haha. Yeah! She is really a fake feminist. I don't like her personality." Another fan posted, "[Taylor] only cares about issues if it's connected to herself. Urghh. Oh gosh! And she goes on and on about not putting down other women - look who's doing it all the freaking time."
