Barry Allen will face off against Atom-Smasher and get his Flash signal in the upcoming season.

AceShowbiz - To tide fans over the show's return, The CW has debuted the first promo for "The Flash" season 2. Though short, the 10-second video still offers a glimpse of one of the new villains, Atom-Smasher, and the Flash signal.
WWE star Adam "The Edge" Copeland will portray Atom-Smasher, appearing in the season premiere set to air Tuesday, October 6 at 8 P.M. on The CW. The character is described as "one of the most powerful enemies we encounter this season."
According to ComicBook.com, he comes to Central City to kill The Flash. "His incredible strength and ability to grow to enormous size makes him more than a match for Flash and the entire S.T.A.R. Labs team will have to come together to find a way to defeat him." This is a twist of the comic book's version of the character in which he's originally depicted as a hero.
The new season of the DC Comics adaptation will also feature Jay Garrick a.k.a. Speedster (Teddy Sears), Wally West a.k.a. Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale), Barry Allen's new love interest Patty Spivot (Shantel VanSanten), and Lewis Snart (Michael Ironside).
