The CW's series teases Speedster/Jay Garrick's arrival with a picture which pays homage to the cover of 1961's comic book 'Flash of Two Worlds'.

"The Flash" debuts the first look at Teddy Sears as Jay Garrick a.k.a. Speedster while teasing the Earth 2 mythology at the same time. The CW's series posted on its official Twitter page an image that features Grant Gustin's Barry Allen and Sears' Garrick recreating the cover of 1961's comic book "Flash of Two Worlds".
The said comic book first introduced the eerily familiar place Earth 2, which features alternate heroes and villains. The mythology was teased in the first season finale of the TV series. Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg recently told Entertainment Weekly that the show would introduce Earth 2 "probably sooner than people would've thought."

In the comic books, Speedster is the original Flash. However, on the TV show Garrick's Speedster is described as "a mysterious figure who arrives in Central City to warn Barry Allen and his team at S.T.A.R. Labs of an impending danger that he alone cannot hope to stop."
"The Flash" returns with its second season on Tuesday, October 6 at 8 P.M. on The CW.
