Tears were falling as hearts were already broken in week 2 of "Bachelor in Paradise". Picking up where the last episode left off, the latest episode followed Jared and Clare on a pristine sailing date. They went bungee jumping and shared a passionate kiss.

Mikey, who thought he had connection with Clare, wasn't happy that she accepted a date from Jared. Ashley I. also had a breakdown over the thought that Clare might steal Jared from her.

Upon returning home, Clare bragged in front of the girls about her romantic date with Jared, and Ashley I. totally freaked out. Jared, however, wasn't into Clare as he said he didn't have the "spark" and "butterflies" with Clare, citing their age difference as a reason.

Michael G., meanwhile, made a move on Tenley, who was already torn between Joshua and JJ. They had a romantic dinner date and sealed it with a kiss. Both of them sang praise for each other, making it even harder for Tenley to pick a guy at the rose ceremony.

As for Juelia, she was all over Joe following their date, but others noticed that Joe had been "avoiding" Juelia since their return. Jonathan took this chance to convince Juelia that Joe wasn't interested in her and wasn't on the show for the right reason. Juelia admitted she wasn't "sure what to believe," but then Mikey told her the same thing about Joe while assuring her that he's a "better" option.

Juelia eventually confronted Joe about ignoring her, but he argued, "I didn't want to smother you. I was nervous and I didn't want to say anything to ruin what we had." He kissed her and it seemed that Juelia believed him. Joe, however, told the camera that he only wanted to stay as he's still hoping that Samantha from Chris Soules' season of "The Bachelor" would show up.

Affirming himself as the bad guy this season, Joe confronted Mikey and Jonathan for talking about him to Juelia. While Mikey didn't believe Joe, Jonathan felt guilty and even apologized to Juelia in front of Joe. "Juelia, I'm a f***ing asshole. I got caught up in the game aspect of this," Jonathan said.

Before the rose ceremony, Jared tried to seal the deal for his rose by kissing Ashley I. Clare, meanwhile, had a breakdown as she didn't have a connection with anyone. Ashley I., feeling relieved, commented, "This is amazing! Clare is losing her mind!"

At the rose ceremony, Carly gave her rose to Kirk, Ashley S. gave her rose to Dan, and Jade gave her rose to Tanner. Tenley surprisingly gave her rose to Joshua despite having a good time during her date with Michael earlier in the episode. The episode ended in a cliffhanger as Clare left the rose ceremony to cry, wondering about who she should give her rose to.
