Zayn Malik ended his engagement to Perrie Edwards with one simple text message. The Sun reported the matter, citing a source as claiming, "It's unbelievable, he's an immature little boy with no thought for anyone else's feelings. Perrie is one of the sweetest girls in the world and she's stood by him through thick and thin."

The source added, "But he ended their engagement with one text message and in the two weeks since there's been complete radio silence between them." Still according to the same source, "Who does that? She's devastated, which everyone understands, but is doing her best to focus on work and to put on a brave face in public."

The Sun, furthermore, reported that following their break-up Zayn and Perrie would be battling over their newly purchased £3-million home. "This was the house where Perrie expected to marry Zayn and act as his wife for the rest of their lives," said the source. "It was their dream home and he went through with the purchase only a few weeks ago. They bought the house from a Premier League footballer and both loved it."

"It's understandable that Perrie feels confused and led on. He must have already been having doubts about the relationship," added the source. "This was a very serious, major financial purchase. She thought Zayn was committing to their long-term future."

Zayn and Perry got engaged in August 2013. News of their separation has become talk of the town since earlier this week. It was the former One Direction star who was said to be calling off their engagement.
