Movie

Wade Wilson (Reynolds) becomes a superhero after he agrees to be a part of an experiment that gives him superhuman regenerative abilities.

AceShowbiz - 20th Century Fox has released the first official trailer and a red band trailer for its highly-anticipated movie "Deadpool". Following a cameo appearance in "The Fantastic Four" trailer, Deadpool is now in action to impress superhero addicts through his own trailer.

Previously debuted at Comic-Con in San Diego, the official trailer opens with Ryan Reynolds's Wade Wilson diagnosed with terminal cancer. He agrees to follow a series of processes done by someone who offers him a promising experiment. "What if I told you we can make you better? You're a fighter, we can give you abilities most men only dream of. Make you a superhero," a character says.

The rest of the trailer shows Deadpool fighting crimes in town as he shoots, punches and kicks the criminals. "Wait! You maybe wondering why the red suit. Well, that's so bad guys can't see me bleeding," the Merc with a Mouth jokingly says in front of heavily-armed enemies. Amidst the fights, there is a glimpse of villainous Colossus slamming the titular superhero.

Coming along with the official trailer is the red band trailer. It looks much the same with the green band trailer, but it features gorier fighting scenes and contains some sexually explicit materials.

Based on Marvel comic books, "Deadpool" tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson (Reynolds), who after being subjected to a rogue experiment, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Directed by Tim Miller, the movie is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on February 12, 2016. Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano, Brianna Hildebrand and Ed Skrein are other names attached in the cast.
