Mel B a.k.a.Melanie Brown a.k.a. Scary Spice has hinted at a Spice Girls reunion for the group's upcoming 20th anniversary. The singer, who's currently serving as a judge on "America's Got Talent", revealed during a recent visit to "Today" show that she wanted to "gather the troops" for the celebration next year.
"You know, when you say it's our 20th anniversary coming up, it does make you think, 'Oh, my Gosh! It really has been that long,' " she said. "Hopefully, you know, we'll gather the troops around and we'll get to do something to celebrate it next year."
"Well, it's in my plan. I don't know if it's in anybody else's," she continued, stressing that nothing's been made official yet. "Everyone has taken their own path in certain areas of the entertainment world. We like each other and I think that's the most important part."
So far, at least two former Spice Girls members, including Brown, are down for a reunion to celebrate the band's 20th anniversary. The other member is Emma Bunton a.k.a. Baby Spice who said in an interview a few months ago, "I was with [Geri Halliwell] and [Melanie Brown] just recently, we love each other and we love performing together."
"It's just when the timing is right because we all have our own careers now and we have families, it's just about getting five schedules together and that's all it is," she added.
Spice Girls last reunited when they performed together in 2012 at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games in London. However, in an interview last year, Victoria Beckham a.k.a. Victoria Adams a.k.a. Posh Spice revealed that she would never perform with her former bandmates again.
