Check out the boney and gross walkers that are wandering around Georgia in the upcoming season of the AMC series.

AceShowbiz - "The Walking Dead" isn't returning until fall, but the terror has already been felt with the release of pictures showing some new walkers in forthcoming season 6. As gross as always, those boney and slimier walkers are going to prey on the survivors in Georgia.

Besides the walkers, a new photo of Rick (Andrew Lincoln) has landed online. In the new season, he will clash with his long-lost friend Morgan (Lennie James) following their not-so-sweet reunion in the season 5 finale.

Recently, first look at new characters Carter (Ethan Embry) and Dr. Denise Cloyd (Merritt Wever) made their way out via EW. Carter is described as a composite of different people from the original comic. There's also another fresh face, Heath, who is played by Corey Hawkins.

Showrunner Scott M. Gimple teases that another comic book character, Negan, could appear in season 6. "It's absolutely a possibility," he says. "And when I say it's a possibility, we have a plan in place, but there's a couple variables for that plan that we're deciding about. It really depends on a few factors as we move into setting up the last bit of the season story-wise."

Negan is described as a psychopath who leads a group called the Saviors who don't really live up to their name. If Negan does appear on the TV series, there's a chance that Jesus will also be introduced in season 6. Jesus a.k.a. Paul Monroe connects the Alexandrians to other communities like the Hilltop that trade services and goods.

Gimple doesn't rule the possibility of Jesus' presence on the show either, saying, "When it comes to characters like The Governor, Michonne, Abraham, and others like Jesus and Negan who are fan-favorite characters in the comics, it's always a challenge to get it right because it's those characters-much like Rick Grimes in the beginning-that fans already have a sense of and expectations for."

He goes on explaining, "So we're always careful, and I feel like we've done a really good job servicing those fan expectations. Hopefully that trend will continue...if the characters you mention are to appear soon."

"The Walking Dead" season 6 debuts Sunday, October 11 at 9 P.M. on AMC with a supersized, 90-minute episode.
