AceShowbiz - Jada Pinkett Smith set the record straight on rumors claiming that she's going to divorce Will Smith. In a recent interview with American Way, the magazine for American Airlines, the "Gotham" actress revealed that her marriage experienced ups and downs.
"Marriages go through shifts," the 43-year-old actress described her marriage. "And relationships go through shifts because in life things shift." Though she found it normal that her marriage went up and down, she admitted that "people are automatically like, 'What's going on? They must be getting a divorce.' " To such speculation, she responded, "Well, no. But when people feel those shifts and there's a mystery, they have to fill it with something."
During the interview, Jada also opened up about how she coped with public scrutiny in Hollywood. "If you really want to know. I'm thankful for the Hollywood scrutiny, that that's my problem," she said. "There are mothers out there losing their sons, their husbands, their daughters. I'm blessed. So scrutinize me. I'll take that any day over what the majority of my people are dealing with on a daily basis. I dare not complain. Hollywood scrutiny has nothing on what I've survived just to be here."
The "Magic Mike XXL" actress also did a photo shoot for the magazine cover. Jada looked stunning in a sleeveless white dress with golden ring and silver earrings. She took to Twitter to share with her fans the picture of the magazine's cover. She captioned it, "Loving this American Way Magazine cover shoot by @floodstudio."
