AceShowbiz - Hours before Foo Fighters' 20th anniversary concert in Washington, D.C. over the weekend, Dave Grohl played an impromptu set at a motorcycle rally held in the city. During the surprise show, the frontman did a cover of Neil Young's "Cinnamon Girl" alongside a band consisting of his fellow musician pals including former Pearl Jam drummer Dave Krusen, singer/songwriter Jonny Kaplan, Rami Jaffee of Foo Fighters and Blind Melon's guitarist Chris Thorn
In a fan-shot video posted on YouTube, Grohl who recently broke his leg after falling off stage in Sweden could be seen donning a black T-shirt teamed with khaki shorts while performing the classic in his seat. He rested his injured leg, which was wrapped in purple bandage, on a folding chair.
In addition to the Neil Young song, Grohl and his supergroup covered The Rolling Stones' "B**ch" from their "Sticky Fingers".
Later in the day, Grohl reunited with his Foo Fighters bandmates for their scheduled show at the RFK Stadium. The rocker sat on a massive throne decorated with lights and guitars during the gig, which saw him performing hits like "Everlong" and "Monkey Wrench". He also brought out his mother on the stage during a rendition of "For All the Cows".
