The Seattle Seahawks quarterback says he and his girlfriend are practicing abstinence for religious reasons.

AceShowbiz - Russell Wilson dropped some unexpected news during an interview with Pastor Miles McPherson of The Rock Church in San Diego on Sunday, July 5. The Seattle Seahawks quarterback revealed that he and his girlfriend Ciara were abstaining from sex because God personally asked him to do so.
"[Ciara] was on tour, and I was looking at her in the mirror, and God spoke to me," Russell told the pastor, "He said, 'I need you to lead her.' I told her, 'What would you do if we took all that 'extra stuff' off the table, and just did it Jesus' way?' " He then clarified that he was "talking about sex."
The Super Bowl champion said Ciara "completely agreed" about practicing abstinence, but he admitted that refraining from sex wasn't easy. "I ain't gonna lie to y'all now-I need you to pray for us," he told the congregation, "I know y'all have seen her on the screen. If there's a 10, she's a 15."
Russell and Ciara began dating in April following her split from Future. They made their first public appearance as a couple at the State Dinner in honor of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at the White House in Washington, D.C.
