'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' Will Be More Emotional
Movie

Director James Gunn teased that the second installment of 'Guardians of the Galaxy' would be 'a more emotional movie.'

Director James Gunn gave hints to reporters at the Annual Saturn Awards, June 26, about the follow-up to "Guardians of the Galaxy". He teased fans the difference between the sequel and its predecessor. He said that the movie would be "more emotional" and fans might "learn a lot about fathers" in the upcoming movie.

Just like the first movie which had emotional scenes, the second one probably will feature more touching story, according to Gunn. "It's going to be exciting. I think it's a more emotional movie," Gunn said.

He added, "I think it's both a bigger movie and a smaller movie because we focus more intensely on some of the characters. We get to learn a lot about fathers in the second movie." Based on what Gunn said, it is safe to say that the upcoming superhero flick will possibly feature Star-Lord's father.

Previously, Chris Pratt, who stars as Star-Lord in the movie franchise, admitted that the idea for "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" storyline made him cry. "I will say that [Gunn's] pitch and his idea legitimately put tears in my eyes," the actor said.

He also said that he wanted to get started with the movie as soon as possible, "It is so good, it's so good. And I cannot wait to get started on it and I cannot wait for people to see what he's going to pull off with the second movie. It's so, so big and so good."

In April, Gunn confirmed that "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" would have its original cast members like Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper reprising their respective roles. The movie will start filming in February 2016 and will be released Stateside on May 5, 2017.
