The Canadian teen keeps getting attacked by something unseen in the new clip for the song off his debut album 'Handwritten'.

AceShowbiz - Shawn Mendes may literally need "Stitches" in his new music video. After releasing the first visuals for the track off his debut album "Handwritten" back in March, the Canadian heartthrob returned on Wednesday, June 24 with a new clip that features him heartbroken and getting battered.
Taking place in an empty parking lot, the video sees Mendes trying to walk towards a certain direction, but he keeps getting knocked down by something unseen. The teen ends up with bruises and blood all over his face.
"Stitches" has been slowly climbing up the charts, currently sitting at No. 69 on Billboard Hot 100. Its first video, featuring no appearance from Mendes, has racked up over 9 million views since it was published three months ago.
"Handwritten", meanwhile, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200 upon its arrival in April. The album also includes lead single "Something Big" and the hit "Life of a Party". To support his releases, Mendes is joining Taylor Swift on her "1989" tour this summer.
