The first still from "London Has Fallen" has arrived online. Featured in the new issue of Empire, the image gives a sneak peak at Gerard Butler's character Mike Banning kicking ass in the sequel of "Olympus Has Fallen".

The sequence, shot in the same Charing Cross location used in "Skyfall", sees Mike holding a rifle with a terrorist lying down in front of him in a rubble-strewn underground station. Mike wore a black suit with a white shirt and black tie. Another agent in black suit can be seen approaching Mike from behind.

Gerard tells the magazine, "It's a fun franchise. You get to do a lot of really badass action, but it's got its tongue firmly in its cheek."

Gerard and other original cast members like Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Robert Forster, Melissa Leo, Radha Mitchell and Sean O'Bryan will be back in the sequel in their respective roles. Charlotte Riley will join the cast as a British MI6 agent. Directed by Babak Najafi, the movie will be released in the U.S. on January 22, 2016.
