Rick Ducommun, who is best known for his role as Tom Hanks' prankster neighbor in 1989's "The 'Burbs", passed away on Friday, June 12 at the age of 62. His wife Leslie told The Hollywood Reporter that the Canadian actor died due to a "serious complication from diabetes."

Relatively unknown standup comic Rick Ducommon beat out SCTV's Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis for the part of @tomhanks' paranoid neighbor. And knocked it out of the park. Lots of the funniest stuff he says was totally ad libbed. A very funny guy who favored me with a cameo in 'GREMLINS 2'. Too young to go!"
