AceShowbiz - Despite a trending topic on Twitter, Zayn Malik is not rejoining One Direction. On Sunday, June 14, thousands of fans got confused when hashtag #zayniscomingback became trending topic. A fan named Nouran posted, "OK if all of this is true im seriously gonna cry #zayniscomingback." Common White Girl asked, "Wait hold on #zayniscomingback is trending right now, can someone tell me if he really is????"
Leah tweeted, "I'm so confused rn and I'm fed up by one direction and zayn for keeping us in the dark all the time #zayniscomingback." Annabelle wrote, "I'm still really mad at the way Zayn has been acting since he left. So I dont know how I would feel if he came back. #zayniscomingback." Another fan with the name Guardian Loury, meanwhile, posted, "I'm mad that he left, but I'm excited to hear that he might come back. #zayniscomingback."
However, a source close to Zayn and One Direction told Gossip Cop that the rumors were not true. The source said, "[Zayn] is not returning to 1D."
In other news, One Direction whose remaining members are working on new solo projects are not breaking up. They will stay together just like The Rolling Stones. A friend told PEOPLE, "The boys know that by sticking together they can still pursue everything they want to do as a foursome, as well as individually. And there's no reason why they can't have lifetime careers both as a group and working on their own solo projects - just like the Stones. The Stones are a huge inspiration for the whole group, and they are huge fans."
Harry is reportedly trying his hand at acting while Louis has launched his own record label which will be an imprint to Simon Cowell's Syco. "It's the best of all worlds. The band all have their own solo interests, whether it be music, art or acting, but they can stick together," the friend adds, "Harry, Louis, Liam and Niall are all very loyal to each other and support each other's future together and on solo projects - music or otherwise ... They are all incredibly loyal despite the multiple offers they get all the time."
One Direction is gearing up to start the next leg of their "On the Road Again" world tour and is also working on their fifth record.
