George Clooney made a short visit to his hometown Augusta, Kentucky, earlier this week. The "Tomorrowland" actor brought his attorney wife Amal Clooney to a family reunion.
The newlyweds had a friendly dinner with George's family at local restaurant Caproni's on the River in Maysville, Ky on Monday, June 1. The friendly actor and family even sang "Happy Birthday" to a woman sitting on the next table who happened to celebrate a birthday. Excited about celebrating her birthday with a Hollywood actor, the woman took to Instagram to express gratitude. The restaurant owner also posted a picture of him with the actor.
What a great evening tonight at Caproni's! #davidhalljazz

The family reunion continued in Augusta pub where they had a private party. At the party, Amal was introduced to some of George's family members who didn't manage to attend their wedding in September last year. One of them gushed over Amal in a caption of a photo posted on Instagram. It read, "Amal is so friendly and nice!! :) #amalclooney." The couple appeared to have a great time during the family reunion.
On the following day, the duo stopped by Magee's Bakery to get George's favorite snack. The co-owner of the baker, Russell Dickson, told E! News, "They both ordered transparents. It's also called clear pie or cellophane pie. It's made of eggs, butter, sugar and milk. It was her first time having one and she absolutely loved it." Apparently, Amal began to like the food too. Meanwhile, the humble star asked the couple who ran the bakery if they wanted to take picture together. The newlyweds apparently had a great time during their brief visit in George's hometown.
This guy and his wife show up wanting to take pictures. This one time would not hurt. Fame, what can you do.
