Firestorm is back to "The Flash" in the season 2 premiere. Victor Garber has confirmed that he and Robbie Amell, who together portray the superhero, are set to guest star in the first episode of the sophomore season of The CW's series.

"Robbie and I will be joined on the first episode of the [next] season of The Flash, and then we'll see what happens," the actor tells The Hollywood Reporter. He adds that in upcoming episodes of "Arrow" and "The Flash", it will be explained how his character Dr. Martin Stein moves to the spin-off "DC's Legends of Tomorrow", while Amell's Ronnie Raymond remains on "The Flash".

Garber goes on teasing about the upcoming new series which puts together heroes and villains from the DC Comics universe to confront an unstoppable threat. "That's going to be the fun of it. We're all these characters put together and we will see how we all function and try to do something together," he says.

Also featuring Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The Atom, Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave, Ciara Renee as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl, Franz Drameh as Jay Jackson and Caity Lotz as White Canary, "Legends of Tomorrow" is expected to debut in midseason 2016.

"The Flash", meanwhile, will return on Tuesdays at 8 P.M. on The CW.
