The 32-year-old rapper has failed to send the message of the event to stop the violence by starting a quarrel with one of the referees.

Lil Wayne was out of control at the Stop the Violence charity basketball game on Sunday night, May 31. The "Love Me" hitmaker even started a quarrel with one of referees, which was an irony considering the message of the event.
According to TMZ, when Wayne's team was being coached by the event promoter, apparently the referee made a series of calls. The 32-year-old rapper felt disturbed and got furious because of the calls. Wayne then confronted him on the court, and his "crew" was quick to go after him to prevent bad things from happening.
Unfortunately, Wayne managed to get away from the players who tried to hold him back. He then ran after the referee and threw his fist to the referee. The rapper also allegedly spit on him. This situation made the ongoing game had to be stopped for awhile. As the referee didn't want to make the situation worse, he retreated into the crowd. Police came shortly after Wayne backed off. They confirmed that no one was arrested.
Though Young Money was there to play against other team for the cause, Wayne failed to send the message of the event, "stop the violence," by starting the fight.
