The actor, who recurred as Harvey Dent in the first season, is promoted to a series regular in the sophomore run.

AceShowbiz - Nicholas D'Agosto has booked a permanent residency on "Gotham". The actor has confirmed that he will return for the upcoming second installment of the Batman prequel series. He, additionally, has been promoted to a series regular.

"Thank you to all of you @Gotham and #HarveyDent fans for your enthusiasm. I can't wait to join more of the fun as a regular in Season 2!" so he tweeted on Wednesday, May 27, sharing the happy news. He was first tapped to appear in three episodes of the first season, portraying Harvey Dent.

Another star upgraded to a series regular for the next season of the FOX series is Morena Baccarin. The "Homeland" alum will reprise her role as Dr. Leslie Thompkins, after recurring in the first season.

"Gotham" returns with the second season this coming fall on FOX. The upcoming installment will feature at least two new villains, one is a "male DC Villain" described as "intelligent, cultured and highly articulate," and "extremely attractive, both seductive and threatening." The second one is a female DC Villain in her mid- to late 20s who is "a sexy knock-out," according to TVLine.
