Claiming his split from Jordin is 'so behind' him, Jason was much more excited talking about his upcoming new album in an interview with the latest issue of Billboard.

AceShowbiz - In an interview with the latest issue of Billboard magazine, Jason Derulo had plenty to share about his personal life. And when it came to life after splitting up from singer Jordin Sparks, he said, "I do get tired of playing nice. Especially when people think I did something wrong, or that she broke up with me. But it's so behind me."

The 25-year-old singer, however, was much more excited when discussing about his new album and childhood. "You can't pull me out of the studio. Songwriting is a muscle. The more you do it, the better you get at it," he raved about writing songs for his fourth set "Everything Is 4", due out on June 2.

Speaking of his childhood, Jason recalled, "My mom says I was an introvert. I never saw myself that way, but I was always focused." He continued explaining, "I didn't spend a lot of time doing things that I didn't think would make me great. I studied all kinds of dance, all types of music. I got good grades. I started hitting the recording studio around 13."

Gracing the cover of the magazine, Jason was featured wearing unbuttoned black top and short pants as he relaxed on a chair poolside. The particular issue of the magazine is set to hit the newsstands on Monday, May 25.
