It turns out Archie Panjabi wasn't the only one leaving "The Good Wife" at the end of season 6. Matthew Goode won't return as a series regular for the upcoming season 7 of the CBS drama series, according to TVLine.

Goode's exit was hinted in the season 6 finale as his character Finn Polmar rejected Alicia's (Julianna Margulies) offer to join her new law firm as he wanted to give a second chance to his relationship with his ex-wife, and he thought working closely with Alicia wouldn't be good for him. He, however, may still be returning as guest star in an episode or two.

Goode was added to the cast of the Emmy-winning drama series during the second half of season 5 to fill the void left by longtime cast member Josh Charles. He was promoted to series regular in season 6.

Goode is set to reprise his role as Henry Talbot in the sixth and final season of British series "Downton Abbey".
