During an appearance on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show', the country singer announces that the album is set for release on August 7 and performs the new single.

AceShowbiz - A new Luke Bryan album is underway. The country superstar announced during his appearance in the Tuesday, May 19 episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that the record called "Kill the Lights" would come out on August 7.

The 38-year-old hunk performed the album's lead single "Kick the Dust Up" while stopping by the morning talk show. The song was sent to country radio and released to digital retailers also on Tuesday.

"We've been performing the new song on tour this spring, using it to open the shows," Bryan said in a statement. "We love the crowd reaction to it and I cannot wait to be able to share more new music this summer. It's been two years since we've had a new album and I don't think I've been this eager yet to get it out to the fans."

"Kill the Lights", Bryan's fifth studio effort, serves as the follow-up to the massively successful "Crash My Party" (2013). On the day his new album arrives, he will perform on "Good Morning America" as part of the show's 2015 Summer Concert Series.
