Getting back in the U.S. after a honeymoon with wife Nikki Reed, Ian Somerhalder took time to share a new Instagram snap that showed off his sexy shirtless frame. The photo that showed his glowing bride sneaking and smiling from behind his back was said to be captured on a beach from their recent trip to South America.

"Feet back on US soil aka... New York City. Dreaming of the Costa Rica rainforest. Thank you to this beautiful country: it's land and its people," the 36-year-old "The Vampire Diaries" actor captioned the snapshot. Somerhaler and Reed began dating in summer 2014. After getting engaged in January this year, the celebrity couple tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in Santa Monica, Calif. on April 26. Earlier this month, they were photographed enjoying a PDA-filled honeymoon in Brazil.
