The Oscar-winning actress will share screen with Johnny Depp's daughter as spooky sisters in the horror drama movie which takes place back in the 1930s.

AceShowbiz - Natalie Portman is set to star in a horror drama movie, "Planetarium". According to Variety, Lily-Rose Depp will join Portman to take an important role in the film from French director, Rebecca Zlotowski.

The film will be in supernatural vein which follows two sisters (Portman and Depp) who appear to possess the ability to communicate with ghosts. They have a fateful meeting with a French film producer while performing in Paris in the 1930s. The French producer character is inspired by real-life Jewish producer Bernard Natan, a prolific producer of the 1920s and 1930s, who later died at Auschwitz during World War II.

"Planetarium" will be Portman's first collaboration with French director since her breakthrough role as a child assassin-in-training in "Leon: The Professional" for Luc Besson. The upcoming film will be based on a script written by Zlotowski and Robin Campillo, who previously wrote the screenplay for "The Returned" ("Les Revenants"). Zlotowski is preparing to shoot the film in September and the film is slated for a May 2016 release in France.

According to recent news, Portman will play a young Ruth Bader Ginsburg in "On the Basis of Sex" and her directorial debut, "A Tale of Love and Darkness", will premiere at Cannes Film Festival this weekend. She will also be seen in "Jane Got a Gun" which is reportedly set for a U.K. release on January 1, 2016.
