AceShowbiz - After "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" is rumored coming to an end, CBS is now reportedly mulling over how best to end the show. Deadline reports that the network is considering to make a two-hour movie. Another option is to do a shortened final season with six episodes only.
Aside from discussing a proper send-off for the long-running procedural series, CBS is allegedly planning to give Patricia Arquette-starring spinoff "CSI: Cyber" an overhaul due to modest ratings. Despite the issues, the new show is still likely to return for a second season.
George Eads, Jorja Fox, Eric Szmanda, and Robert David Hall are among the mainstays in "CSI" cast ensemble, but Eads will not return for the next season. The show wrapped up its 15th season this February. Fans were sent into frenzy back then when a promo for a so-called "series finale" aired, but CBS quickly clarified it.
