Reese Witherspoon to Produce 'Second Life'

The 'Hot Pursuit' star is set to produce a film adaptation of a novel entitled 'Second Life' alongside Bruna Papandrea.

AceShowbiz - Reese Witherspoon and Bruna Papandrea are developing a new movie for Pacific Standard. According to TB, the duo teams up with Warner Bros. to produce the film adaptation of "Second Life".

The film is adapted from the book written by S.J. Watson. It is a psychological thriller film which story centers on a woman who creates an online persona to find the truth behind her sister's violent murder. Once a devoted wife and mother, Julia starts to lose herself in the lies she creates, risking not only her marriage, but her son's safety.

This is not the first time Watson's novel has been adapted into a film. Her first novel entitled "Before I Go to Sleep" was adapted in 2014 by writer/director Rowan Joffe. The film featured some famous stars such as Nicole Kidman, Colin Firth, and Mark Strong.

Jesse Ehrman and Julia Spiro will oversee "Second Life" for Warner Bros. Ehrman previously worked on "This Is Where I Leave You", "The Town", and "The Hangover" series. He is also currently working on an adaptation of British anthology series "Black Mirror".
