'There is no plan,' Eva said of her first Mother's Day plan, adding, 'This Mother's Day is definitely all about my mom.'

AceShowbiz - Eva Mendes won't be celebrating her first Mother's Day. The mother of baby girl Esmeralda told Access Hollywood on Tuesday, May 5 that she would like to spend this year's Mother's Day with her mother Eva Perez Suarez rather than making a celebration for herself.

"There is no plan," the 41-year-old star told host Billy Bush and Kit Hoover about her plan for Mother's Day. "I kind of feel like I haven't quite earned my stripes yet in a way. [Esmeralda]'s seven months [old]."

Eva shared that she planned to celebrate the special day with her mother. "This Mother's Day is definitely all about my mom," she told the hosts. "She's had a really hard year. My brother's sick, so it's all about my mom, honoring her. We're all going to go over to her house and bombard her with love."

Later, Eva shared about how her mom dressed her and her sisters when they were kids. "It's so sweet to me. My mother was always one of those mothers that dressed me like my sisters," so she said. "And there's a huge age gap. My poor sisters were 8 and 9 years older than me and dressing like a 5-year-old."

Eva and her man Ryan Gosling welcomed their first child in September 2014. She admitted that being a mother to Esmeralda had opened her mind about being a parent. "Now I understand so much," Eva said previously. "My mother's never gotten more 'I love you so much mummy' texts, I mean, randomly... yeah, I get it now."
