The 'Glory' rapper joins returning cast members Ice Cube and Cedric the Entertainment in the movie directed by Malcolm D. Lee.

"Barbershop 3" cast Common. The rapper joins Ice Cube and Cedric the Entertainment who will reprise their respective roles as Calvin Palmer and Eddie. Queen Latifah and Nicki Minaj are also expected to star in the threequel.
The original movie came out in 2002, depicting the social life in a barbershop on the South Side of Chicago. A sequel "Barbershop 2: Back in Business" arrived two years later. The story also spawned a spin-off movie "Beauty Shop" starring Latifah and a TV series starring Omar Gooding.
Malcolm D. Lee ("The Best Man Holiday") is attached to serve behind the lens for the upcoming third big-screen installment. No release date has been announced for the new entry.
Common was last seen in Martin Luther King Jr. movie "Selma" and won an Oscar for the soundtrack "Glory" which he recorded with John Legend. He will next star in David Ayer's "Suicide Squad" and is linked to Spike Lee's next project "Chiraq".
