Cobie Smulders opened up in an interview featured on the May 2015 issue of Women's Health that she battled ovarian cancer when she was 25 years old. "I had tumors on both ovaries, and the cancer had spread into my lymph nodes and surrounding tissues," so she revealed.

For the next couple of years, she underwent many surgeries to remove the cancerous tissue in her body, which then left her with one third of an ovary. Being told by doctors who treated her that she would never be able to get pregnant naturally, Smulders in fact has two children with her actor husband Taran Killam.

Now that she is 33 years old, she admitted, "I don't think I'll ever feel like I'm cancer-free." She went on telling the magazine, "Now that I'm five years out, I'm trying to think of it as a positive thing and what can I learn from it. And if I can create more awareness, I'll do it."

Despite her past cancer battle, Smulders has lived her life to the fullest. She looked flawless and joyful on the cover of the magazine's latest issue that showed her posing topless in just short jeans. She opened up to the magazine about such other topics, as the advice she'd give to her younger self and the superpower she wishes she had.
