The Canadian singer becomes the youngest artist to have a No. 1 album Billboard 200 since Justin Bieber's 'My World 2.0' ruled the chart back in 2010.

AceShowbiz - Shawn Mendes' "Handwritten" has made its way out to No. 1 on Billboard 200 this week. The Canadian teen's debut full-length, released earlier this month via Island Records, opens atop the list with 119,000 units, including 106,000 copies of pure album sales.

This is Mendes' second time in less than a year to visit Billboard 200. Previously, his self-titled EP debuted and peaked at No. 5 following its release in July 2014. Additionally, Billboard notes that the 16-year-old singer is the youngest artist to have a No. 1 album on the chart since 2010, when fellow Canadian star Justin Bieber's "My World 2.0" took the top spot in May.

Next on Billboard 200, last week's first placer, the "Furious 7" soundtrack, falls to No. 2 with 79,000. It's followed by Reba McEntire's "Love Somebody" which starts at No. 3 with 62,000 and becomes the country diva's ninth effort to land in the chart's top 10.

At No. 4, Tyler, the Creator's "Cherry Bomb" arrives with 58,000. Behind the Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All leader, rock group Halestorm becomes the fourth and the last newcomer in the top 10 as their "Into the Wild Life" comes at No. 5 with 56,000, giving them their best sales week ever. They logged their previous best sales week with 2012's "The Strange Case of..." which debuted with 24,000.

At No. 6, the "Fifty Shades of Grey" soundtrack slips from last week's No. 3 with 43,000. Taylor Swift's "1989" gets kicked out of the top 5 for the first time since its release, descending from No. 5 to No. 7 with 38,000. Sam Smith's "In the Lonely Hour" and Ed Sheeran's "X" are at No. 8 and No. 9 with 37,000 and 36,000, respectively. Drake's "If You're Reading This It's Too Late" closes out the top 10 with 35,000.
