Making his first ever red carpet appearance after his exit from One Direction, Malik was spotted sporting a new shaved head and nose ring on his left nostril.

Zayn Malik showed off his new shaved head while walking the red carpet of the Asian Awards held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, England on Friday, April 17. That marked his first ever official public appearance following his departure from One Direction late last month.
The 22-year-old singer brought along his mother Trisha Malik as his date. The two posed together for awaiting photographers outside the venue. The mother and son duo wore matching black outfits. During the same event, Malik was also spotted sporting a new nose ring on his left nostril.
"He simply just fancied a change," a source close to Malik told Us Weekly of his hair makeover. "No biggie. He's in a great place."
Shortly after announcing his departure from One Direction, Malik was spotted leaving a recording studio which then prompted rumors of him doing a solo career. He was said to be working with British music producer Naughty Boy for an undisclosed project.
